Ryan Whitworth (63) led from wire-to-wire to win the modified feature race Friday night at Humboldt Speedway. It was his first feature win at Humboldt.

HUMBOLDT — Most race car drivers tell people they live at the track.
Well, Ryan Whitworth really does live at Humboldt Speedway. His house is just yards away from the track, which is owned by his parents, Ron and Rhenda Whitworth.
Living there and racing there doesn’t mean a driver wins races there. Not until Friday night did Ryan Whitworth record a modified feature win.
Whitworth took the lead on the drop of the green flag and never gave it up Friday. He fought off challenges throughout the race and took the checkered flag.
Justin Folk followed in second place and Scott Daniels was third. Jesse Folk Jr. finished fourth and Dan Daniels rounded out the top five.
Paden Phillips battled through the field in the B-Mod feature to a victory. Jimmie Davis ran second followed by Mike Letterman, David Chambers and Rick Aiello.
Scott Stuart held off a challenge by Paul Snyder to claim the win in the factory stock race. Snyder was second.
Derrek Wilson finished third in the factory stock feature. Doug Scism was fourth and Dale Price placed fifth in a 19-car field.
Regular racing is this Friday with gates opening at 6 p.m.; racing starts at 8 o’clock.
