Uniontown boys go 1-1 in TRL action

CHETOPA — Uniontown High’s Eagle boys won one and lost one Monday in Three Rivers League baseball action.
The Eagles defeated host Chetopa 10-7. Jake Dawson was the winning pitcher, going six-plus innings and allowing seven runs on 10 hits, five walks and two hit batters. He struck out 12. DuShaun Robinson pitched the seventh, walking one and striking out one.
Ty Clayton had a two-run home run in the sixth and a double.
Tyler Hall hit a double and two singles and Max Labbe had a double. Hitting two singles each were Ethan Hammond, Dawson, Tyler Felt and Kyle Mills. Jordan Woods singled.
Uniontown took on Oswego in the second game and lost 19-3. Oswego led 11-3 when it scored seven runs in the seventh.
Robinson, Jordan Woods and Anthony Myers pitched for the Eagles. They surrendered 13 hits, issued a combined nine walks and there were eight hit batters.
Hammond, Clayton, Labbe and Colby Barrett each had a base hit for the Eagles.
The Eagles have a non-league doubleheader at Yates Center Thursday.
