Three Rivers League has new member

Northeast High School of Arma is the newest member of the Three Rivers League.
Marmaton Valley High athletic director Mike McEwan told the Register Tuesday that the Northeast school board voted Monday to change its membership. Northeast had been a member of the CNC League.
“This will take effect in the 2010-11 season,” McEwan said. “The past six or eight months talks have been ongoing. Northeast finally sent a letter of request to join and the league and superintendents voted to accept Northeast’s request.”
Northeast will join these schools in the TRL — Marmaton Valley, Uniontown, Crest, Altoona-Midway, Chetopa, Oswego, Pleasanton and St. Paul.
