Riley grandchildren medal at state meet

Two grandchildren of Iola’s Rose Mary Riley competed in the 2009 Kansas High School All-Class Track and Field Championships over the weekend in Wichita.
Naomi Reeh was the Class 1A 3200-meter run champion, winning the race in 11 minutes, 58.99 seconds Friday at Wichita State’s Cessna Stadium. She took second in the 1A 1600-meter run in 5:32.68 on Saturday.
Reeh is a junior at Chey-lin High School in Bird City and the daughter of Jolene Riley Reeh.
Will Pendleton, a senior at Lawrence High School, was the silver medalist in the Class 6A pole vault. Pendleton cleared 13 feet, 6 inches in Saturday’s competition.
Pendleton is the son of Karen Riley Pendleton.
