Online registration for Iola Rec activities is up and running

As of Thursday, those interested in registration for classes and activities offers by the Iola Recreation Department may do so online.
The new service is on the City of Iola’s Web site at cityofiola.com/recreation.html.
With online registration capabilities, thousands of recreation participants will now be able to view, register and pay for the recreation department’s many activities, including soccer, baseball, softball, tumblenastics, and flag football from any computer. The service is being provided by The Active Network, Inc. of San Diego, Calif.
“Before implementing The Active Network’s system, we relied on multiple excel spreadsheets to keep track of our files and registrants,” said Luke Bycroft, recreation director for Iola Recreation Department. “Active’s system has streamlined all of our processes to save us endless hours and provide the public with a convenient service they have been requesting for a while.”
By making online registration services for classes, programs and activities available 24/7 via the Internet, the department can reallocate staff time to increase services and reduce the paperwork required to process registrations. The Active Network’s Internet registration makes signing up for programs simple, fast and convenient.
The community can search for activities; view program details, schedules and availability; register in just minutes; and pay online with a credit card. As an added convenience, registrants will receive an e-mail immediately following an online transaction to confirm their enrollment in a program.
