MVJH teams take splits

MORAN — Marmaton Valley Junior High’s volleyball teams came up with splits with two opponents Monday.
The Wildcat A-team defeated Altoona-Midway 25-7, 25-12. Kaitlin Ensminger served for 15 points followed by Hannah Endicott with 10 service points. Emily Meiwes served seven points while Tapanga Turner head three, Kaysha Elmenhorst two and Chey-enne English one point.
The Wildcats lost 25-17, 25-16 in A-team play to Uniontown. Endicott and Ensminger each served for four points. Meiwes and Turner served two points each and English served one point.
Marmaton Valley’s B-team lost 25-14, 25-13 to Uniontown. MaKenzie Harrison and Jocelyn Miller each served for three points. Tessa Olson had two service points and Shauna Knight served one point.
The Wildcat B-team claimed a 25-8, 25-11 win over Altoona-Midway. Harrison served up 14 points while Miller had six and Knight had five. Elmenhorst and English each served four points. Emily Boyd had two points and Olson had one point.
