Lady Titans sweep

ST. PAUL — Southern Coffey County High’s Lady Titans swept through their competition Tuesday at St. Paul High’s quadrangular.
The Lady Titans notched a 25-7, 25-17 win over Prairie View. Ashton Gudenkauf served 12 straight points in the first set and she had seven service aces in the match. Shelby Birk had five kills at the net while Laurie Ohl had four kills and four digs. Kristen Garland had 13 set assists.
SCCH head coach Korey Lankton said his team’s offensive attack was better than last week but “we had 16 total serving aces so it didn’t really show in the statistics.” Kaitlin Meyer and Garlandeach had three service aces.
Southern Coffey County downed host St. Paul 25-18, 21-25, 25-13. Lankton said Ohl and Meyer took St. Paul’s two main hitters out of the mix early with several blocks and St. Paul didn’t adjust to it until midway through the second set.
