Indians lose two

OTTAWA — Iola American Legion Post 15’s Indians dropped a doubleheader at Ottawa Wednesday night. The two games were to have been played Tuesday but moved because of wet conditions.
Ottawa defeated Iola 9-1 in the opener in five innings. Mark Bristol was the losing pitcher.
The second game went to Ottawa, 10-2, in six innings. Ethan Ericson and Jerrik Sigg pitched for Iola.
No other details were available to the Register.
Iola is 3-9 for the season after going 1-2 in its own tournament over the weekend. According to information found on the KABA Baseball Web site, the Indians’ only win was over Louisburg on Sunday.
Iola is set to host Coffeyville tonight. First pitch is 6 o’clock at the Allen County Community College field.
The Indians are slated to play at Louisburg Saturday. The first game starts at 1 p.m.
