IMS 7th grade has jamboree

Iola Middle School’s seventh-grade volleyball team held a jamboree Thursday. The 29 players were divided into four teams.
Members of the team that won the most games were Katie Shields, Kyra Moore, Addie Haar, Brianne Jett, Ashley Campbell, Elissa Murrow, Shelby Smith and Whitney Ulrich.
Placing second was the team of Caressa Lowell, Haley Slater, Jo Lohman, Bailey Seeber, Kathy Tush, Ashley Cary and Emery Driskel.
Third place went to the team of Emma Piazza, Torrie Lewis, Torrie Maley, Shelby Reno, Khrystal Smith, Hannah Stout and Selene McHaley.
Taking fourth was the team of Trilby Bannister, Emmalee Seabolt, Kim Kaufman, Brecken Collins, Lauren Hunt, Chelsea Lea and Destiny Howard.
“Great play was seen throughout, with just a few points deciding each game. All the players showed great effort and had a lot fun. This group has a lot of talent,” said IMS coach Muffy Fehr.
On Tuesday, the seventh-grade Ponies head to Columbus for matches.
