HUMBOLDT — Humboldt High’s Andy Hill signed a letter of intent to run cross country for Neosho County Community College in Chanute. Hill, a 2009 HHS graduate, made the commitment in May.
“I felt that Neosho County had the better cross country program for me,” Hill said. “I like the coaches and I believe I can compete well for the program.”
Hill was a member of the first-ever cross country team for Humboldt High School in fall 2007. Hill qualified for the Kansas Class 2A State Cross Country meet in the two-year history of the Cub program.
As a senior, Hill claimed the 17th-place medal at the state meet earning Class 2A All-State honors. Hill placed 41st at state as a junior.
He has competed for the Humboldt High track team as well. Hill is the son of Shari Hill of Humboldt.
