Fillies’ JV wins

BURLINGTON — It was a best 3-out-5 match. Just Iola High and Burlington High in a junior varsity contest.
The Fillies made quick work of their visit to the Wildcat gym. Iola won 25-13, 25-18, 25-14 in straight sets.
“The girls played hard and our passing is looking great,” said Chrissy Powell, IHS assistant coach.
“We are snapping the ball down when we hit and are not afraid to get up and slam it down.”
Kelsey Adams served for 14 points as the Fillies were 65 of 73 serving the ball. She had three ace serves.
Toni Taylor and Kirstin McGuffin each had nine service points and two aces. Tori Snavely served for eight points and had two aces. Carly Muslow had five service points and two aces. Riana Dolenz had two service points, one on an ace.
Dolenz led the net attack with four kills. McGuffin had three kills. Taylor and Adams each had two kills.
Snavely had one kill and she was 22 of 22 on sets.
