Crest, SCCH teams set for substates

Top-ranked and undefeated Crest High’s Lancers are the top seed at the Kansas Class 1A Substate Tournament in El Dorado. The tournament is held at Butler Community College.
The Lancers (23-0) take on Norwich (10-13) at 6 p.m. Friday in semifinal play. The championship game is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Southern Coffey County High’s Lady Titans and Titans are in the Class 1A substate at Emporia, played at White Auditorium.
The Lady Titans (21-2) are top seeded and play Waverly (13-10) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The Titans (17-6) take on Pretty Prairie (16-7) at 6 p.m. Friday.
Championship games at Emporia are at 6 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Substate winners advance to the Class 1A state tournament in Hays.
