Crest Middle School volleyball teams win,
football team loses

THAYER — Crest Middle School’s volleyball teams defeated host Thayer Middle School Thursday. The CMS football team lost to Thayer.
The Crest A-team defeated Thayer 25-16, 25-18. Krystal Cooper and Maley Sherman served up seven points each in the first set and Madison Corey had five points and Alayna Montague had four points. In the second set, Emily Frank served for 10 points and Covey had five service points.
Crest’s B-team won 15-8, 15-8. Paige Tush had four ace serves in her six points in the first set and Brianna Scovill had two aces. In the second set, Lyndia Bradshaw served for seven points with three aces.
The CMS girls play in a tournament at Uniontown today.
Losing their third game of the year, Crest’s boys dropped a 46-8 decision to Thayer.
Rene Rodriquez caught the lone touchdown pass for Crest from Brock Ellis. Clayton Miller scored the two-point conversion.
Ellis passed for 83 yards. Miller had 32 yards receiving and 25 yards rushing while Rodriquez had 45 yards receiving and 21 yards rushing.
Miller led the Crest defense with 15 tackles. Ellis and Landon Stephens each had six tackles. Braden McGhee had five tackles and Austin Green had three tackles.
Crest goes to Uniontown next Thursday.
