Allen captures modified win at Humboldt track

HUMBOLDT — Veteran modified driver John Allen took the checkered flag in the modified feature race on Reunion Night at Humboldt Speedway Friday.
Allen out ran the field for the win. Brian Bolin was second followed by Scott Daniels. Justin Folk and Jesse Folk Jr. rounded out the top five in the division.
It was tune-up race as this week the Speedway welcomes back the USMTS Modified Tour. Ken Schrader, NASCAR veteran, will be competing on the Humboldt track.
Admission for the night will be $15.
Last Friday night, the Outlaw Vintage Cars were featured on reunion night. Al Broers made it two in a row in front of Humboldt fans. Joe Martin ran second followed by Pat Trusler and Brandon Masur.
Scott Stuart continued his top run at Humboldt in the factory stock division, winning again. Doug Scism placed second and Brandon Tindle was third. Patrick Kay took fourth while Karl Churning finished fifth.
In the B-Mod feature race, newcomer Jeff Albright Jr. of Lebanon, Mo., won the race. Paden Phillips was second then came Dalton Kirk, Rick Aiello and Mike Letterman.
Jack Simmons claimed the late model feature victory. Zack Simmons was second to his father then came Brain Bolin, Justin Hoepker and Jimmy Seagraves.
