Ronald Townsend

Ronald Shaw Townsend, 74, of Bronson died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at Moran Manor Nursing Home.
He was born April 9, 1935, in San Diego, Calif., the son of Gilbert and Gladys Lowe Townsend.
He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a retired recreational vehicle technician. Following his retirement and move to Bronson, he mowed the city park and Bronson Cemetery. His hobbies were building miniature doll houses.
On Sept. 20, 1986, he married Jean Thomas.
She survives at the home, as do two sons, Mark, San Diego, and Neal, Ramona, Calif.; three daughters, Teresa DeMaria, Susan Hangen and Linda Crouch, San Diego; a sister, Sandra Burnworth, San Diego; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
A son, James, died earlier.
Lloyd Houk will officiate at 2 p.m. Wednesday funeral services at Cheney Witt Bronson Chapel. Following funeral services there will be cremation.
