Raymond Bradford

Elsmore native Raymond D. Bradford, Orlando, Fla., died Dec. 18, 2009.
He was born March 2, 1928, in Elsmore to Ella and Ray Bradford.
He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He was a leader and member of the Carpenters Union Local 1765. He helped build the Kennedy Space Center, Disney World and other projects in Florida. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He coached softball and baseball for many years.
He loved to fish, garden, paint, do woodworking and spend time with family and friends. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His wife, Joy, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Michael and wife Colleen; daughters, Linda Nichols and husband David, Sueann Cartwright and Robin Bradford; a sister, Barbara Lafferty and husband Jim; an aunt, Ruth Wood, Moran, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
