Marion Cushing

Marion Lee Cushing, 80, of Kincaid died on Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, at his home.
He was born Oct. 15, 1928, in Kincaid, the son of Walter Lee and Fannie Mae (Riggs) Cushing. He grew up in the Kincaid area and graduated from Kincaid High School.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On Sept. 1, 1956, he married Vincie Jo Wood in Westphalia.
He was a farmer and retired rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a lifetime member of Kincaid Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters, Connie Edgerton and her husband, Allen, Garnett, and Diana Storrer and her husband, Jeff, Iola; a sister, Velma Wiseman, Clovis, N.M.; six grandchildren, Zachary Edgerton and hid wife, Stephanie, Sarah Edgerton, Jacob Edgerton, Matthew Storrer, Jacob Storrer and Heather Johnson; and three great grandchildren.
A daughter, Peggy Lee Cushing, and a brother, Harold, died earlier.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett. Burial will be in Kincaid Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Garnett.
