Heiman services

Services for Patricia Lynn Heiman, 53, of rural Iola, whose death Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, was published in Monday’s Register, will be Friday. The parish rosary will begin at 10 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Iola. The Rev. Robert Wachter will be celebrant.
Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be at St. Martin’s Catholic Cemetery in Piqua.
She was born Nov. 26, 1956, at Denver, Colo., the daughter of Conrad George and Rose Ellen (Cavanaugh) Heiman. The family moved from Denver to a farm west of Iola in 1971.
She attended Iola High School and received her associate of arts degree from Allen County Community College. She continued her education at Wichita State University receiving a bachelor of science degree in earth science, chemistry and biology.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Iola where she had also worked as the part-time secretary.
Survivors include sisters Laura Mead and Gail Laymon of Iola and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dorothy Heiman and Michelle Koopman.
Memorials may be made to the Patricia Lynn Heiman Memorial Fund and left with Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapels of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
