Farley Wright

Farley R. Wright, 76, of Emporia died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, in the emergency department at Newman Regional Health.
He was born Sept. 29, 1933, in Humboldt, the son of Roscoe Carlson and Ruth Weatherbie Wright.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in Emporia. He had been an active participant in Bike Across Kansas since 1990. He was a field clerk for Cities Service Gas Company.
On June 4, 1955, he married Louise Feeney at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Humboldt.
She survives, as does a son, Ray, Shawnee; a daughter, Penni Bond, Kansas City; a brother, LeeRoy, Cromwell, Ky.; a sister, Leah Mae Grennell, Humboldt; four grandchildren, Stephanie Wright and Benjamin Wright, Shawnee, Brittani Bond, Emporia, and Austin Bond, Baldwin City; and a great-grandchild.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia. The Rev. Rich Warsnak will be celebrant. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Emporia. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at the church.
