Everett Dunn

Harry Everett Dunn, 89 of Fort Scott died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Guest Home Estates.
He was born July 9, 1920, at Pawnee Station, the son of Harry O. and Freda Anderson Dunn. He spent his entire life in the Pawnee Station area except for the time he was in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II.
In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing baseball. He took great pride in farming and received the Bankers Award for Soil and Water Conservation.
He is survived by two nephews, Clyde Rodney Pentz, Whitby, Ontario, Canada, and Walter Mark Pentz, Chandler, Ariz.
A sister, Monica Pentz, died earlier and two brothers, Clyde and Walter, were both lost in the armed services during World War II.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home in Fort Scott, with the Rev. Paul Babcock officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
