Ensminger services

Funeral services for Marjorie C. Ensminger, 75, of Moran, whose death Monday was reported in Tuesday’s Register, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Iola. Interment will follow in Moran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Moran.
She was born April 23, 1934, in McPherson County, the daughter of Benjamin and Susie (Koehn) Woodward. She graduated from Bronson High School and Pittsburg State University.
She taught school in Moran and LaHarpe until 1968, She then devoted her time to her family.
On Dec. 25, 1960, she married Jack Ensminger at the Methodist Church in Bronson.
She was a board member of Allen County Historical Society. She was involved in the Kansas Republican Party and was chairman of Allen County Republican Party, president of Allen County Republican Women, first vice president of KFRW, national regent of NFRW and a delegate multiple times to the Republican National Convention. She spent many years on the Farm Bureau State Board, being on the Kansas Farm Bureau State Resolution Committee, State Membership Committee, State Vote FBF Board, Allen County Women’s chair, Allen County Policy chair and Allen County Membership chair.
She was devoted to her church and in her younger years taught many Sunday school classes, was Sunday school superintendent and Session member.
She is survived by her husband of the home; a son, Brad, Moran; a daughter, Jacque Ensminger, Iola; five brothers, Myron Woodward and his wife, Margie, Tulsa, Okla., Richard Woodward and his wife, Barbara, Vernon Woodward, Bronson, Luther Woodward and his wife, Hazel, Burke, Va., and Glenn Woodward, Topeka; and four grandchildren, Wesley McFadden, Luke McFadden, Lisa McFadden and Mark McFadden, Iola.
A sister, Lorene Hoobler, died earlier.
