Edna Robinson

Edna Mabel Robinson, 88, died Wednesday, Aug. 19. 2009, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.
She was born July 29, 1921, in Kansas City, the daughter of George Orville and Louella Mae (Kirkpatric) Brown. She moved with her family at an early age to the Coyville area. She then moved with her family to the Benedict area where she attended school and graduated from Benedict High School.
On Sept. 22, 1941, she married Eugene Robinson in Buffalo. He died March 17, 1986.
She was a member of Buffalo Senior Citizens and was past president. She was a member of Buffalo Church of the Nazarene and served as secretary/treasurer along with teaching Sunday school classes. She worked as a telephone operator in her early years before working for USD 387 and IOC in Chanute.
She is survived by 11 children, Dixie Hatter, Buffalo, Billie Woods and her husband, Jim, and Juanita Olberding and her husband, Richard, Wichita, Gary Robinson and his wife, Kathy , Chanute, Pauline Warren, Wichita, Jerry Robinson and his wife, Sue, Buffalo, George Robinson, Yates Center, Jane Gambill, Austin, Texas, Vicki Elleman and her husband, Tim, Benedict, and Wayne Robinson and his wife, Lynette, Chanute; 26 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Brown, Towanda, and Charles Brown, Pomona.
A daughter, Shirley Ayling, seven grandchildren, and one brother, George Brown, died earlier.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Buffalo Church of the Nazarene.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Buffalo Church of the Nazarene.
