Donna Sherwood

Donna E. Sherwood, who owned and operated the TIK-TOK Restaurant in Humboldt with her husband, Ed, for 15 years, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2009, in Coffeyville. She was 77.
She was born July 8, 1932, in Viola. She attended schools in Wichita, where she worked as a waitress for several year. It was through her waitressing that she met Ed Sherwood, whom she married on Dec. 22, 1949. He preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1981.
The Sherwoods also owned and operated restaurants in Wichita, Cherryvale, San Bernardino, Cal-if., and Coffeyville.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, a son, Randy, and two grandsons, Christopher and Todd.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Sherwood and his wife, Dorothy, Iola; a daughter-in-law, Donna Sherwood, Wichita; a daughter, Debra Torres and her husband, Roy, of Rog-ers, Ark.; a daughter, Terry Savala and her husband, Bob, Lowell, Ark.; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale. She will lie in state at David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Rd. in Coffeyville, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the home of Rick and Paula Hensley on 3996A Highway 166 west of Coffeyville.
