David Kuns

David N. Kuns, 71, of Uniontown died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at his home in Uniontown.
He was born Feb. 26, 1938, in Bronson, the son of Dale and Lucille Entzminger Kuns. He was a 1956 graduate of Bronson High School and graduated from Fort Scott Community College where he excelled in football.
On July 28, 1956, he married Norma Jean Clark. She died Dec. 4, 2004. On May 31, 2008, he married Kathy Seaton.
He had been pastor of Bronson Baptist Church for the past nine years. He was also employed by Uniontown school district as a bus driver. He was a member of Bronson Masonic Lodge and Fort Scott Scottish Rite. He was active in the Uniontown Ruritan Club. He liked his organic garden, hunting, fishing and playing bridge.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three sons, Sam (David Wayne) and his wife, Nancy, Wichita, Jim and his wife, Peggy, Mapleton, and Randy and his fiancee, Tammie Winter, Bronson; a daughter, Kathy Yount, Fort Scott; five sisters, Judy Gifford and Martha Ivy, Girard, Mary Graham, Uniontown, Nancy Hendrickson, Pittsburg, and Frances Kuns, Amarillo, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A grandson, Henry Joe Yount, died earlier.
The Rev. Marshall Lackrone will officiate at 10:30 a.m. Saturday services in the Bronson Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Bronson Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cheney Witt Bronson Chapel.
