Dale Snodgrass

Dale D. Snodgrass, formerly of Iola, died in St. Francis Hospital in Wichita today, July 2, 2009, from complications following a massive stroke on June 19. He was 87. He and his wife, Louann, have lived in Bella Vista, Ark., since his retirement from the Monarch Cement Co. some years ago.
He was born May 13, 1922 in Ely, the son of Leslie R. Snodgrass and the former Lillie Lefever, and served in the U.S. Navy in World War II.
He is survived by his wife of the home, a daughter, Deanna Neuner, Parksville, Mo. and a son, Larry, Skiatook, Okla., a brother, Max, Iola, a sister, Vada Aikins, Humboldt, and two grandchildren.
He and the former Louann Stoddard, who grew up in Iola and were graduated from Iola High School in 1942, were married Nov. 31, 1946 in Wichita.
