‘Bob’ Morris Sr.

Bobbie Ray “Bob” Morris Sr., 67, of Iola died Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at Allen County Hospital in Iola.
He was born Jan. 11, 1942, in Buffalo, the son of Kenneth Allen and Onetta Marie (Audiss) Morris. He grew up in Iola and served in the U.S. Army in Korea.
On Aug. 1, 1962, he married Carolyn L. Cramer in LaHarpe. They have made their home in the Humboldt and Iola areas.
He was a truck driver having run flatbed, tanker, grain and box trucking. He drove for RVB Trucking in Iola before he retired.
He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Humboldt until it closed. He attended First Baptist Church in Moran.
He is survived by his wife of the home; two sons, Toma F. and his wife, Lindsy, and Tony L. and his wife, Candi, Iola; three daughters, Annie M. Kidwell and her husband, Micheal, LaHarpe, and Tammie Mitchell and Towanda Belosic and her husband, Jonathan, Iola; three brothers, Marvin and his wife, Isabel, Wichita, and John “Jay” and his wife, Beverly, and Dennis, Andover; a sister, Datha Curbey and her husband, Gary, Marshall, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Two sons, one in infancy and Bobbie Ray Jr. in 1996, two grandchildren, Jennifer M. Hunt and Alli Raylynn Morris, and a brother, Kenneth, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapels in Iola.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Michael Miller will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Humboldt.
