Kids help solve house burglary

Three kids who Daren Kellerman tutored in Drug Abuse Resistance Education in Moran helped him solve a crime Sunday.
Joseph Lowder, 203 E. Harrison, Savonburg, reported that someone had entered his house through a window and stolen about $450 he had set aside to pay rent.
Allen County Deputy Kellerman, dispatched to investigate the burglary, spoke with brothers Stanton, Sean and Seth Swaggerty, who live across the street from Lowder. He knew the kids from the D.A.R.E. instruction classes.
With their assistance, a suspect was identified, the money was located and returned to Lowder.
“Without the Swaggerty boys’ help the money most likely never would have been found,” Kellerman said.
Information about the burglary has been forwarded to Allen County Attorney Jerry Hathaway for consideration of charges against the unnamed suspect.
